Atlantic Salmon

At least, that’s what it says on the FRONT of the package.   And it’s a great package.   It’s a bag in which there are maybe 2 lbs of individually wrapped chunks of salmon — perfect for grilling or, well, grilling.   Y’know — that’s kinda what I do.

I’m pulling two pieces out earlier today and noticing the big friendly "Atlantic Salmon" label on the front and picturing salty old guys out of Boston or Maine who are bringing in all this Salmon for us to enjoy individually wrapped and great for grilling. . . . when I go to seal the bag.

And notice the small text on the back of the bag:   Product of Chile.

FYI — Here’s Chile:

Here’s the ATLANTIC:

And all though I’m sure it’s great for the fishermen of the southern most tip of Chile who are somehow catching salmon and putting them in individually wrapped and great for grilling packages. . . . I can’t help but wonder — isn’t there some salmon a little CLOSER that I might also enjoy individually wrapped and great for grilling?

But what do I know?
